Veterinarian

Jess_edited_edited.jpg

Dr. Jess Chong

Dr. Jess is thrilled to fulfil her long-time dream of opening her own veterinary clinic where her passion for surgery can truly shine. A graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in 2005, she has spent years honing her surgical expertise as a general practitioner in various clinics across Toronto. She began to  perform common laparoscopic procedures in 2014, particularly laparoscopic spays, which ignited her interest in minimally invasive techniques and endoscopy.  Recognizing that many veterinarians may face challenges related to time, staffing, and comfort in performing certain procedures, she took on locum roles providing surgical support to clinics in Toronto. Through this experience, she identified a significant need for a reliable facility where veterinarians could confidently refer their patients for essential diagnostic and surgical services. This realization inspired the establishment of TAPS! Dr. Jess is so excited to embark on this new chapter of her veterinary career with you. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new adventures with her family, including her beloved Swiss Mountain Dog.

Sandra

Sandra’s journey began with a deep-rooted passion for animal care and well-being. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2006, and since then, has gained invaluable experience gathering her skills in both clinical and surgical settings. Her enthusiasm for surgery, anesthesia, and pain management drives her commitment to providing the best care possible. Joining a surgery and procedure clinic presents an exciting opportunity  to further explore these interests and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our furry patients as part of the TAPS team.  Outside of work, she cherishes game nights with friends, has a passion for baseball (Go Jays!), and loves spending quality time with her family.

Milhouse

Meet Milhouse, our resident Swiss Mountain Dog and official Patient Representative! With a nose for sniffing out the best treats and a wagging tail that is well-suited for back massages, he’s here to ensure that every furry friend feels right at home. Milhouse has a PhD in “Paw-sitive Vibes” and is known for his expert-level cuddling skills.  His favorite hobbies include "borrowing" balls from other dogs at the dog park, helping to clean the environment by picking up litter (although he is still working on not actually eating it!), and can't resist a good wrestling session with a friend.
